Back to the human springs…..

It happened on June 18, 2005... No, it was not the birthday of... No, neither the battle of... It was the day when, after a long separation due to the "things of the life", Sensei Roland Habersetzer met again in Paris his first Sensei - Henry Plée, who, as everyone knows, played great role in his life and was the one promoting him to 1st Dan black belt in Karate-Do in 1961. Sensei Habersetzer is now bearing 8th Dan in Japan by O-Sensei Ogura, and today is 63 years old and Sensei Plée, bearer of 10th Dan by the same O-Sensei Ogura of Gembukan, is now 83 years old. With 20 years age difference (at 4 days apart: they are both "Gemini"...), they represent two generations of Shihan, not to count the rest witch is much more... Those two men had the same deep joy of being re-united and having conversation on subjects which always bring them closer still with the same passion. Sensei Habersetzer took time to present to Sensei Plée the definition of his school "Tengu-No-Michi" which is in conformity with the Tradition... It is clear, even when times runs, who are those few that “are not losing their shoes”...

Yes, time gallops. But sometimes it gives the men a short respite, like a space of grace, during which they had an invaluable moment after all this time, to re-temper themselves into their dreams of long time ago... Both Senseis were quite conscious about it. One very, really very beautiful day... But what they said will remain, of course, between them! The Tradition, as always...
